For anyone who likes the compactness of the Samsung G600 but does not want to pay an exorbitant amount for their mobile phone, the Samsung U600 may be the right phone.
The U600 is a second-generation Ultra phone offered by Samsung. It is a slim phone and very lightweight with touch sensitive buttons. As it stands at the moment, it holds the world record for being the thinnest slide mobile phone handset on the market. The screen is 2.2”, 240×320 pixels that displays in sixteen million colours. It provides the user with contact management and organizing functions. It has an internal memory of 60 MBs that is expandable up to 2GB with a microSD chip. The phone’s battery life is four hours of talk time and 320 hours standby time. The phone comes in black, blue, green, pink, and silver.

The camera on Samsung’s U600 is a high-resolution 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, and digital zoom. The camera has a one to two second delay, though, making fast subjects hard to photograph. The video camera shoots in 240×320 pixel resolution and has a built-in microphone for capturing sound.
The U600 has a music player that supports the major formats and it can be listened to on the stereo headset packaged with the phone, a wireless Bluetooth headset, or through the loudspeaker which features an Bang & Olufsen digital power amplifier for a clear and crisp sound. Playlists can be up to thirty tracks. If you only use the phone’s memory for storage of your media files, you will only get about 15 songs saved. It is best to invest in a 2GB chip and keep your music on it. A PC data link is included for transferring music from your computer to your phone. The phone is also equipped with an FM radio.
The messaging option includes support for email attachments and a document viewer for viewing Office, PDF and HTML files. Photos can be downloaded with a PicBridge compatible printer and the phone can be hooked up to your televisions with an out connector for viewing photos and videos on your phone directly on the TV. This phone is also Internet browsing capable. Ringtones, graphics, wallpapers, and games can be downloaded for this phone if supported by the service provider. The U600 also supports photo identification for contacts, Java media, and customizable ringtone.
Other features of the Samsung U600 include a built-in hands free microphone that can be used for phone calls as well as for video recording. Other accessories are available for this slim little phone with the big camera. Users should check with their local Samsung dealers or cell phone service providers for additional information on accessories.
One complaint about the U600 by Samsung is the touch sensitive keys. Many users would prefer a traditional keypad. Some have found that as the phone is used, the keypad becomes less and less sensitive, making it harder to dial the phone or use any of the other options.

I think this is a nice looking phone, its easy to use and looks godd. A little disappointed with the camera, which at 3 megapixels is less than its peers.
