With a 5 megapixel camera, the Samsung G600 is a powerful mobile phone that can give the Apple iPhone a run for its money. It has a slim line look with a slider format that opens up to revel the numeric keypad, a design that replaced the clamshell phone look.

The camera on Samsung’s G600 is well protected behind the slide. The user would open the slide to reveal the lens and flash. It has autofocus, LED flash and a 4x digital zoom. It has two modes, panorama and macro, the second mode designed specifically for close-up shots. A built-in picture editor is included and if you have the extra money, the pictures can be sent to a Pictbridge-compatible printer. This phone can also record video in 640 x 480 pixels and has a built-in microphone to capture sound.
The G600 is also a music player. It supports every major format. It can support wireless Bluetooth stereo headphones for playback and even has an option to select dual headsets if you want to share with a friend. There is a dedicated music library interface that allows the user to create playlists and organize their music by artist, album or genre. An FM radio is also included in this phone. The phone comes with 40MB of internal memory and is packaged with an additional 1 GB memory card to save all your media.
Samsungs model G600 has easy menus that even the new user can understand. As the user pages through the menu features, what each selection does is shown at the bottom of the screen. User customized wallpapers and theme settings are available if the user does not like the selections preloaded into the phone. The same can be said about the ringtones. Other features include text and multimedia messaging, the ability to receive e-mail attachments and view them with the built in document viewer, offline mode for air travel, and USB connectivity. The phone is also Bluetooth ready.
The battery for the model G600 from Samsung is a Lithium Ion battery with seven hours talk time and nine hours MP3 play in one charge. Additional accessories are available.
The only downfall of this phone seems to be, surprisingly enough, the camera. Many user reviews have been very biased against the camera, although most expert and technical reviews praise it. One reviewer went on to say that it is a possibility that the user did have something set properly, thus causing the dissatisfaction with the device.
